Save the theatre, not just Times Square
Theatres cluster around Midtown, but their entrances are not interchangeable. A route to Times Square can still leave you needing to find the right street and queue. Save the venue name and address from your booking confirmation and use those when planning transport.
West 42nd to West 44th Street shows
Aladdin is at the New Amsterdam, 214 West 42nd Street. Harry Potter is at the Lyric, 214 West 43rd Street. Maybe Happy Ending is at the Belasco, 111 West 44th Street. The similar street numbers make it particularly useful to check the full street name before setting off.
West 45th Street and farther north
The Outsiders plays at the Bernard B. Jacobs, 242 West 45th Street. Chicago is at the Ambassador, 219 West 49th Street. The Great Gatsby is at the Broadway Theatre, 1681 Broadway near West 53rd Street. Follow the specific entrance information on your confirmation rather than a generic neighbourhood pin.
Match access needs to the building
A theatre district address does not tell you whether your selected seats involve stairs. Compare the official venue information, the route to the level and any accessible restroom or seating requirements. Confirm arrangements before payment, particularly when you are comparing different buildings with similarly named seating sections.
Make the final hour easy
